Delhi Budget 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented Budget 2025-26 in the state Assembly today with the education sector being amongst the ten focus areas for the newly elected BJP government in the national capital. The Delhi Budget allocates ₹100 crore for establishing new ‘CM Shri schools’ in Delhi. Additionally, ₹750 crore has been earmarked for distributing free laptops to 1,200 students who pass Class X.
Smart Classes And Computer Labs
Rekha Gupta announced in her budget speech that a fund of Rs 100 crore has been kept for building 175 new computer labs and smart classes. She said, “1200 children will be given laptops under the free laptop scheme, who will go from 10th to 11th. Rs 7.50 crore will be kept on this.”
Talent Hunt Scheme In Delhi
The Chief Minister also announced that a talent hunt scheme will be started in Delhi for which Rs 5 crore will be allocated.
Additionally, the budget of Maithili and Bhojpuri Academy has been increased to Rs 6 crore and a total of Rs 139 crore has been kept for promoting art and culture, Rekha Gupta announced.
