The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the schedule for the CSIR UGC NET June Exam 2025. The exam dates were altered due to a conflict with the HTET 2024 dates. The official notice states that NTA received numerous requests from candidates noting that the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024 is planned for July 26 and 27, 2025, which conflicts with the CSIR UGC NET June 2025 exam. To accommodate these candidates, the CSIR UGC NET June 2025 exam has been rescheduled to July 28, 2025.
The exam for all subjects, including mathematics, earth, atmospheric, ocean, and planetary sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences, and physical sciences, will be held on the same day. Candidates can find the revised schedule on the official NTA website at nta.ac.in.
“The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates that Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2024 Examination is also scheduled on the same date(s), i.e. 26th & 27th July 2025 with the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 exam. In the interest of aspirants, the exam of Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2025 now will be held,” reads the official notice.
Candidates will receive information about the exam city through an Advance City Intimation Slip 8-10 days prior to the examination, the notice stated.
The written exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), featuring three sections consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. It will be bilingual, available in both Hindi and English.
For the Computer-Based Test (CBT), a minimum of 33 per cent is needed for General, EWS, and OBC candidates to qualify for both fellowship and lectureship. On the other hand, PwD, SC, and ST categories must secure at least 25 per cent of the minimum percentage to be eligible for both JRF and Assistant Professor and Lectureship positions.
This exam is held to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor, admission to Ph.D., and admission to Ph.D. only in Indian universities and colleges through a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
