UPSC has decided to commence the Personality Tests also known as Interviews for the Civil Services Examination, 2023 from January 2 to 16, 2024
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the personality test (interview) dates for the Civil Services Main Examination 2023. Candidates can download the interview schedule by visiting the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in. As per an official notice, the personality test is scheduled to be held from January 2, 2024, to January 16, 2024. “On the basis of the results of the Civil Services Main Examination, 2023 declared by the Union Public Service Commission on 8th Dec, 2023, the Commission has decided to commence the Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Civil Services Main Examination, 2023 w.e.f. Tuesday, 02.01.2024,” reads the official notice.
Candidates whose names appear on the list of shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for the interview round for selection to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services (Groups ‘A’ and ‘B’).
The commission has released the personality test schedule of 1,026 candidates. The test schedule for the remaining candidates will be uploaded later. The personality test (interview) e-summon letters for these 1026 candidates will soon be accessible on the main website. Candidates will not be allowed to request a change in the time or date of the interview.
The personality test round will be conducted in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The interview rounds for the UPSC usually take place in two shifts: one in the morning for candidates who report at 9 am, and another in the afternoon for those who are scheduled to start at 1 pm. Candidates who travel to New Delhi for their UPSC personality test typically receive reimbursement for their travel expenses. Candidates must bring their e-summon letter or admit card to the UPSC interview, which is scheduled for January 2024.

Step 2: On the homepage, go to the ‘What’s New’ section.
Step 3: Click on the link that reads – ‘Interview Schedule: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023’.
Step 4: The UPSC Personality Test Schedule will appear in PDF format.
Step 5: Check all the details and download it.
The schedule indicates – the candidates’ roll number, date, and session of interview. If a candidate has failed to submit the DAF-II by the deadline, his or her candidature has been cancelled, and no e-Summon Letter will be issued.
