The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) spot rank list for 2025 on June 3. Candidates who participated in the state-level Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET 2025) and have submitted their second PU marks can now view their KCET spot rank at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/.

“Results of those who have secured second PU marks and whose rank has not been declared yet have been declared. Spot rank has been declared and can be found on the KEA website,” reads the official notice.

The KCET 2025 examination was conducted on April 15, 16 and 17. The test was held in two shifts — the first one from 10.30 am to 11.50 am and the second from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm. The Kannada language test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates was changed from April 18 to April 18 following requests by candidates, as April 18 coincided with Good Friday. The KCET rank list for 2025 was compiled based on students’ Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam marks and their KCET scores.

The KCET 2025 results were announced on May 24 along with agriculture, engineering and veterinary stream toppers. Of the 3,30,787 candidates who registered for the exam, 3,11,991 appeared, and 2,75,677 cleared it. To qualify for the exam, candidates must achieve the minimum percentage prescribed by KEA. General category candidates need at least 45 per cent, while those from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) must secure a minimum of 40 per cent.

The board explained that the Karnataka CET 2025 results were delayed by a few days because about 10,000 candidates entered incorrect registration or roll numbers. Candidates from other boards and states were given a portal to submit their marks, which were cross-verified before ranks were assigned. KEA reopened the submission window for candidates without ranks to submit their Karnataka 2nd PUC exam marks on May 26.
