The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the timetable for the National Defence Academy (NDA) II and Naval Academy (NA) II examinations 2025. Candidates who have registered can access the schedule on the official websites — upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.

According to the Commission, the written examination will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in two shifts. The Mathematics paper will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 pm for 300 marks, followed by the General Ability Test (GAT) from 2 pm to 4:30 pm carrying 600 marks. Candidates who clear the written exam will qualify for the Services Selection Board (SSB) Test/Interview, which carries 900 marks.

The UPSC has specified that all question papers will consist of objective-type questions, available in both English and Hindi. Only the metric system of weights and measures will be used. The use of calculators, log tables, or mathematical tables is prohibited, and no scribe facility will be allowed.

Vacancies

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 406 vacancies across the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. These include:

NDA (Army): 208 vacancies (10 for female candidates)

NDA (Navy): 42 vacancies (6 for female candidates)

NDA (Air Force – Flying): 92 vacancies (2 for female candidates)

NDA (Air Force – Ground Duties, Tech): 18 vacancies (2 for female candidates)

NDA (Air Force – Ground Duties, Non-Tech): 10 vacancies (2 for female candidates)

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 36 vacancies (5 for female candidates)

What’s Next?

The UPSC will release the NDA and NA II admit cards around seven days before the exam at upsconline.nic.in. Candidates will need their application ID and date of birth to download the e-admit card.

The Commission has clarified: “No candidate will ordinarily be permitted to appear in the examination without an e-Admit Card. After downloading the e-Admit Card, candidates must carefully verify all details and report any discrepancies to the Union Public Service Commission immediately. The courses allotted will depend on the candidate’s educational qualifications and preferences as submitted in the application form.”

With the schedule announced, aspirants are advised to gear up for their final phase of preparation.
